Topri®

Origin

A cross between Red Jonaprince SELECT and Elstar. A very dessert variety. The early harvest date and good storage properties allow it to be placed among the top varieties available to consumers throughout the season. The fruit is extremely juicy and tasty, even after being removed from the cold store. Due to its high yield and ease of cultivation, it will certainly take a high place in the new saturation of dessert varieties. It can certainly take the place of the less durable and less tasty varieties from the Jonagold group.

Fruit

The fruit is large, very aromatic and extremely juicy. The skin is smooth, shiny with small lenticels. The basic colour is green-yellow. The fruit is covered with a clearly striped red blush, which gives it an attractive and characteristic appearance. The flesh is white, crisp and very juicy. The high sugar level of 14 brix balanced by high acidity gives Topri® fruit a unique flavour.

• Flowering during the Jonagold variety
• Ripening period: second half of September
• Storage: up to 10 months

Tree

The strength of the tree’s growth is similar to that of the Jonagold group varieties. Very easy to manage in the orchard. The variety is simply ideal for the fruit grower.

Fruiting

Early and abundant. In order to ensure regular yields, thinning of the fruitlets is recommended. A very productive variety. It forms flower buds on short and long shoots.
