Colour

The base skin colour is green or yellow, depending on market preferences, and it can develop an attractive salmon-orange blush, which has been deliberately selected as a desirable trait In South Tyrol, this trait was isolated and developed into a new mutation, resulting in Golden Parsi(S) Da Rosa®.

Fruit

Golden Parsi(S) Da Rosa® apples are characterised by orange-golden browning of the skin, making them highly sought after in markets such as the Middle East and North Africa. Growing domestic demand is visible for this unique “salmon-coloured” apple.

Characteristics

A Golden Parsi(S) Da Rosa® apple is a mutation of Golden Clone B, maintaining the classic Golden characteristics, including: yellow skin with lenticels, sweet taste with a delicate hint of acidity as well as elongated fruit shape.

Harvest

Harvested 2-3 days later than Golden Delicious Reinders. Unlike its parent variety, it is resistant to russeting.
